Ontario produces three million acres of soybeans a year. Proper planting equipment can reduce waste in over seeding, resulting in savings for the grower.
In recent years, soybean planters and drills have seen new features to develop a proper stand, such as improved seed delivery systems, more consistent down pressure, better closing wheel and more effective row cleaners.
The Soybean Planting Demo will showcase new equipment from a number of companies planting into a consistent depth of 1.5”. A field of corn stalks was chosen because up to 50% of soybeans planted each year are planted into fields that had corn the previous year.
